Interior lights and gage's are acting crazy

I have a 2006 pt cruiser.I've put
new battery terminals an a new
battery,an my gages are still
flickering,an the car sometimes
won't start but if I bang on the
starter it will start but the gages
still flicker. What can the problem
be.

check starter and all electrical connections , use memory saver when you disconnect the batt. sounds like that starter's going to quit one day , scan for codes even if the light ain't on and get the definitions
