2006 PT Cruiser manifold is not communicating with computer

My timing belt recently broke on
my cruiser and I had took it to a
mechanic they fixed it and
replace the manifold but soon
after I got the car back the
engine light came on and the
code I got was that the manifold
is not communicating with the
computer. What would cause
that?
