Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 03 chrysler town and country. I can start it with
remote start but it won't start with the key. Also when it
with remote start as soon as I put the break on it dies even
if the key is in. What could this be?

Sounds like something with the security system. Possibly caused when the remote start system was installed?

I am not familiar with remote start systems. Also your mechanic is going to need alot more info than what you've provided: how long have you had it, when was the remote start installed, etc.

I have had the van for 2 years so I don't know when the remote start was put in. When I start it with remote start it only stays running for abt 20 min or put the break on. But yet I can't start it at all with the key or put the key in after it has started with remote and keep it running.

That's what is so weird. Just all if a sudden this has happen. No signs that it was going to do it.
