2004 town and country 3.8 eng miss at 4000 rpm runs okay at other speeds

Having a miss should throw a code, like a po300 number (po305) something like that. From what I can check on it may be the ignition coil. Try narrowing it down to a cylinder and investigate that cylinder and related components.
