cold air coming out of vents when heat is wanted

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When we start our van the vents blow consistent cold air when the adjustment is for heat no matter how long we "warm it up". Sometimes we can rev the engine up which will, for some reason, get the heat coming out, but usually it takes driving it for a while before any heat will come out. What do you think the issue is?

I would like an answer to this question also. Same problem with 2005 jeep grand Cherokee and pump has been replaced so not that.
Already changed thermostat and water pump (which is what the mechanic said was the problem) Still blowing cold air
I also desperately need a answer to this must be a common problem....was anyone else also stupid enough to do the vent calibration on you tube I did and now it has never worked right ....I have full time air on now and the heat thing as described up top... need help
Im having same issues with my 2001 town and country van, blows mostly cold air when on heat and once in a while it will get warm for just a few mins(if that)then back cold, please any advice?
The problem is the vent doesn't open to let in the hot air. My husband actually goes through the glove compartment and opens it so I can have the heat come through. Fan works fine. Problem is it doesn't stay open on it's own very long. Dealerships want $1000 to fix this problem because they take off the dash and replace the part which opens and closes. Possibly the actuator.
Not the blend door actuator. Its the hvac actuator the first one from top to bottom
I just having this issue with my 05 Chrysler Town and country van Going into winter now. Not a good thing.
