2006 town and country van over heating

Asked by Jencarmon84 Apr 18, 2019 at 08:11 PM about the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 town and country 3.3L. I've
changed to thermostat and the sensor to the
thermostat but it's still over heating. To the
point smoke is coming off the engine. I just
got the oil changed too. What could be wrong
with my van?

Same problem with my van it's most likely your relay that's not turning your fans on. Does it overheat when you're driving it or just when you're at idle? If it overheats only at idle that you know it's the relay because the air flowing through the radiator when moving is keeping the van from overheating
