2006 town and country won't start

Asked by Mattskeeper Jul 04, 2018 at 07:46 PM about the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country V6
3. 3 l. I tried to start it and it would start and
kill immediately. It did this three times before
I went to get my husband. He started it and it
killed a couple more times before it refused
to turn over again. Now nothing! We can hear
the fuel pump engaging when we turn the key.
We can turn the starter over with a
screwdriver but it won't start the car. We ruled
out the alternator. We changed the crankshaft
position sensor and the camshaft position
sensor. I read that a lot of people had
problems with the wire harness chafing on
the transmission so we checked that and
don't see any damage. Changed fuses and
checked all connections to the fuse box...
What else could it be? I can't afford a
mechanic right now and rely on my car for
work.. any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Just went to see a mechanic who said the same thing. It might be the computer. Took a spark plugs out and didn't see anything. No Sparks, no fire.. nada.. put it on a diagnostic machine and came back 0 codes...
