Child seats

Asked by Guru5N9MG Jan 21, 2018 at 01:32 PM about the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 4WD

Question type: General

My 2006 Jeep SRT8 has a warning against
child seats for the middle seat even though
I can fit a child seat in there with a seatbelt
(I need 3 child seats across the back). Any
idea why there is such a warning, is it not
safe or does it just mean there are no isofix
points in the middle? Thanks

Tennisshoes is right. The center location is the safest spot but your car does not have the needed attachment points.

Thanks for your responses, much appreciated. What I don't quite understand is why it is safe for an adult to sit in the middle seat with a normal over the shoulder seatbelt but this seatbelt is not sufficient to secure a child seat in the same way as the two outer seats?
