there is a fuel filter near the rear bumper, need to change it,i had the same problem no ones seems to know about it

I have the answer for this one! My Jeep had the same problem! I just happened to be taking a trans axels & transmission class and my teacher used to work for Jeep and he said people have this problem all he time and it’s because the gas tank sits on the sensor for the sending unit to the fuel pump so it messes up the sensor or sending unit and it makes the vehicle THINK it’s out of gas, so the fuel pump shuts off and stops working, so your car thinks it’s out of gas and causes it to die. It causes a false reading for the sensor. My fuel filter was in my gas tank and was told I needed a new fuel filter. So I had to remove the gas tank (not fun at all) and reposition the sensor, and YES, NONIDY SEEMED TO KNIW SNYTHJNG ANOUT THUS ISSSUE—- I paid hundreds trying to fix it forever it seemed! Well. After returning the 3rd fuel filter (because there was nothing wrong with any of them), I told my teacher my story and he told me how this happens all the time— because of the sensor/the fuel pump problem no just mentioned. But it ran perfect after that! I hope this info helps SOMEONE
