Motor Swap?
Asked by Al Dec 07, 2017 at 07:11 PM about the 1999 Buick Century Custom Sedan FWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Recently my 1999 buick century motor has blown. Ive owned it since new
with all maintenance and whatnot done on it. 253000 miles. Sadly I was
going to dump my love but I just cant part with it. I was going to try to have
some fun with it before I did maybe put crate motor in there. I would love to
have a sleeper but im not sure what motors it could hold. I would love a
HEMI or equivalent. If that is at all possible let me know please. Thank you I
appreciate you taking your time to read this.

I agree the 3800 supercharged engine would be a big improvement and it is almost plug n play. as that engine was used on the Regal (same body as yours) GS. If you go with the supercharged engine you want to get the transmission also...I also think the Regal had rear disc brakes and your Century had drums.....Ideally find a complete Regal GS and you should have all the parts you need to make your Century think it is a V8
