2001 Buick Century Driver Side High beam headlight not working.
My left side (driver side) headlight only works on low beam. The right
headlight works on both high and low and the switch works fine. The lefty
high beam is the only one that does not. I replaced bulb first and it did not fix
it. I tested the bulb on the right headlight and it works fine so it's not the bulb.
I put a tester on every fuse on the car both under hood and on the right side
of the dashboard. I put a tester on the connector that the high beam bulb
plugs in to in the headlight housing and it is getting power. I put a tester on
each prong that the main connector that plugs into the headlight housing
from the fuse box and they all test out fine. I compared the test to the right
sight connector for reference as it is working correctly. So the left connector
is getting power identically to the right connector. WHY THE HECK IS MY
HIGH BEAM NOT WORKING?? Is there a relay for each headlight to switch
from high to low? Or does 1 relay handle that for both sides? At this point
that is the only thing possible that it could be right? Which relay would need
to be replaced? Thanks in advance.
