How can a 2005 buick lacrosse get beef up?

Asked by nelsonpau Mar 11, 2012 at 06:53 PM about the 2005 Buick LaCrosse CX FWD

Question type: Car Customization

I own a 2005 Buciks lacrosse (2.8) and a big fan of American muscle cars; Do anybody know or got a way to beef up my buick (engine/transmission) to make it a higher horse power car?

I dont think u can do much to 05 Buick. The only easiest and cheapest things I can think off is, change the Intake, Exhaust and add a Turbo. If u change the intake, u gonna have to buy the one that does not take in hot air from the engine. More direct exhaust or high flow will take off some pressure of the engine. Turbo is used to pressure the air into the engine. While turbo is highly advertised it can cause seriouse issues over long term. And to let u know, Buick isnt a car that is used by the racers to get tunned. So basically Buick is as good as it can be. lol

they make a 3.8 supercharged model. 240 hp, and 280 foot pounds of tourque. that should bolt up just fine but you will need the computer out of the car with the supercharger.
