Cruise con.dont work,light comes on but doesn't lock on?

Forgive me I hadn't done one of these models but it should be about the same as others, At the throttle linkage at or near throttle body if it throttle body will have a actuator or little motor that works the throttle linkage and it may be bad or loose connection, sometime they end up unhooked if it malfunctioned in the past so it may be bad and unhooked or the parts connecting to it may be subject.
