1998 Buick LeSabre

I have had a 97 and 98 LeSabre that have the fuel pumps replaced every 3 to 5
months.  My mechanic has no idea what to do about it.  Does anyone know
what is going on?

just a guess, you run the tank on empty and this won't cool the pump properly
