2001 buick lesabre wont crank

my 2001 buick lesabre was running fine i had got gas and cranked the car i
seen that it was having a little trouble but i pulled out the driveway and
drove about one and a half blocks until  when the power steering wouldnt
turn the car never turned off so i tried to crank it and it wouldnt crank so i
put a battery charger on it for 15 minutes and before the 15 minites the
charger  dead but the it showed the yellow light and i tried and it died again
with a little click i left the charger on all night and when i came back the light
was still yellow and never turned green meaning it was halfway charged i
tried to cracnk and it tried to  turn over but didnt then  i tried agasin and the
battery charger turned red and it wouldnt crank at all whats wrong with it

Sounds like the battery needs replacing. The alternator should be checked to see if it is charging also.

There could be enough juice for the lights, but not enough cranking amperage in the battery to turn the motor over. Also it sound like the battery is not taking a charge. It may be shorted. You can take it out and have it tested.
