Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery went dead overnight and
won't start the car when jumping
off. The positive cable heats up and
no dash lights,  key warning bell or
anything comes on when jumping.
Yesterday I drove 40 miles and all
was fine except radio quit but
showed android  9:58 on face.
Would not play or change.
When jumping the positive cable
sparks alot when attaching.
It's like a dead short and no power
is going to switch.
How can this ha open when it was
fine when parked

I also pulled each fuse separately and checked spark when bc attaching jumper cable. The bad sparking continued after removing rrmoving each fuse.
