Buick Lesabre 97' new battery, just put of shop, dead now. wont stay running.

Biught used. bied once, original battery wouldn't hold a change, bought
new. Last week engine light came on and ABS.  so we took it in the shop,
replaced breaks & fuel filter cleared codes.  Engine light still on.  ABS went
off.  3 days later tried to start.  totally dead. daughter said when she parked
last night the dash light blinked and went off before she parked.  Tried to
jump this am.  started right away.  wont stay running if I disconect cables.
Help

Sounds like a bad alternator, take it off & have it checked, or get the car some where to have it checked.
