could be the plastic or metal elbow, considering plastic is brittle and the metal rubber melts with the heat. Also could be the upper and lower intake gaskets are shot, along with the metal and plastic intakes. Where the antifreeze does not get along with aluminum. I took it all off and put new from the lower intake metal up. Also put metal elbows in too and have replaced once due to melting rubber rings. As for the intake, I have not had any problem with the job i did. mine was an 03. Everything from 2000-2005 is pretty much the same. Last of the run. Only thing that really stinks about all of them , the coil spring seats rot out and need new. Also need to weld metal to frame and make a cover for the seat to not rot again.
