Trunk won't shut
1 Answer
Most of the time it is just the mechanism hanging up. With the trunk open, Jam a screwdriver within the mechanism where the curved tooth is and pry it open, it usually only takes a little bit of pressure to pop open, then spray the mechanism where the tooth is and up inside the lid where the tooth comes out with WD-40 or some other lubricant. Work the latch a couple times open and closed, then make sure the latch is open and shut the trunk. This same process works for the doors as they’re the same principal even if they’re shaped differently
