04 le sabre all the time only gets 19.6 mpg.Is this normal?200000 miles in good shape however just obtaine it????I do run the air conditioner too.

That is not bad at all. Check your tire pressure and tune it up if it has been a while since the last one.

Even with that mileage, that car should get at least 25 on the open road, 19 is good for city. Does it have poor performance also? At that mileage the converter could be partially plugged,
