timing Chane or were does it backfire out of the exhaust or carburetor could be vales need adjusting put a vacuum gauge on the manifold somewhere that should tell you
Check ur distributer first to make sure its at the right degree it will caulse aback fire
Changed plugs wires, air filter, fuel filter distributor cap
