Rearend replacement

I have a 2011 chevy silverado 4x4 1500 the rearend
went out  of it I have a 1997 silverado 4x4 2500 not
in anything can I swap them out or how can I find
out what gear ratio the 2500 is

What don't you understand about the differences from a 3/4 ton to a 1/2 ton ?? Wouldn't you think that 3/4 ton would be more heavy Duty & have bigger brakes than the 1/2 ton , The list of differences is long
