Will a bed from a 1995 Chevrolet Standard Cab Long Bed Pickup swap directly
on to a 1996 Chevrolet EXTENDED Cab Long Bed?  What years are a direct
swap?

In my opinion NO, as on extended cab has a shorter base, However with some modification you may be able to.. I believe your wire harness will be too short and bolts to from from bed will not be in the same place.,.doesn't mean you couldn't make it work with modifications.. Usually you put back on the same exact bed, Chevy does interchange with Gmc... I just had a 2003 truck hit in the rear and had to find exact parts or they don't fit as per factory nuts and bolts.

um, huh, NO!! Many Extended cab trucks have the Full Length Beds, as does mine. Re-read the original post carefully in detail. So, no, the wiring harness should not be an issue. Bolt hole alignment is what I'm curious about. I can't imagine anything else being an issue. Thank you for your time to respond, Nancy
