What are the differences between chev 6 lug 3/4 ton and 8 lug.

Own a 94 chev 6 lug 2500 truck. What am I missing on this truck compared to a 2500 8 lug HD. Frame, towing,
drive train ext.

The list actually goes way further than what tom even wanted to list. Its pretty much taking a standard 2500 and putting every chassis part (steering, suspension, brakes, tougher differentials, on and on....) on steroids. Usually the main difference between a 1/4 1/2 and 1 ton is suspension, with a few other tweaks. The HD is whole different breed.

Hey guys just wondering are you able to put the front and rear diffs from a 95 6.5 Diesel with the 4.10 ratio into my 1997 1500 5.7L Vortec wanna run 1 Tom diffs just don’t know if my drivetrain will bolt up to the diffs thanks

early 8lugs diffs had I believe 115mm rotors, late models were 135mm of sheer terror.
