92 Lumina battery drained?

Asked by Brandon Jul 09, 2018 at 09:39 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet Lumina Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just went out to my car to find out the battery was dead. The lights were not
left on or anything I double checked immediately. Recently with the humidity
and heat my rear view mirror became detached, I needed to go so I removed
the electrical wire to it, so it was not dangling on my way out.

My question is could it being detached drain the battery? Otherwise I have
no clue what could have done it. Thanks in advance!

Detaching the mirror and then finding the battery drained is probably just a coincidence. Batteries can go dead anytime and anywhere, especially after they are older than four years. Hot weather is a strain on them too. I would have the battery tested and replaced if necessary.
