2000 Chevy 3500. Engines dies when idling in drive.

Asked by mel_in_texas Oct 15, 2014 at 05:35 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet C/K 3500 LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

THE CEL came on, but the truck is running fine, except that it has been hesitating like it has bad fuel. I put berryman chemtool in engine. It starts and runs fine except for an occasional bucking.  I fear it may  be a transmission issue because there is a burnt smell, like a clutch maybe after I park. The ways it's acting, if it were an older truck I'd suspect vacuum line.
