Asked by 19993500 Nov 21, 2021 at 08:27 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet C/K 3500 Crew Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my truck to the self car wash and next day I get in and tried to start it
but it just clicked a few times then nothing.
I have installed a new battery and have 11.80 volts at the starter, cleaned and
tightened the cables.
Replaced the starter/ solenoid and ignition switch.
I’m out of ideas…

You may have gotten some ignition parts wet at the car wash.pull the dist cap and dry out the internal components (rotor, inside of cap, contacts, plug wire contacts, etc.) and then try it again.
