Park LPS fuse Issues

Asked by Collin Oct 06, 2017 at 01:01 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 3500 Cheyenne Extended Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my PARK LPS fuse (#9) has been blowing lately.. when
I leave the running lights on while my truck is in park the
fuse blows. Now when I put the fuse in it blows
immediately when I flip the switch. The reverse lights don’t
work as well. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Only thing
is the circuit boards when the bulbs plug into the tail lights
has what appears to be dried foam (like spray insulation
foam) in and around the sockets. I have no idea what it is.
They came like that. SOS guys.

sounds like a pinched wire remove all the light bulbs replace the fuse if it blows then you have a direct short in the wiring,if it dont blow replace the bulbs one at a time till you will see which one is the problem
