Why is my transmission getting hot then slipping?

Asked by Gage Mar 23, 2015 at 09:47 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet C/K 1500 LS Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It works fine when I first drive but
then it gets hot and starts slipping.
Any help? I think it getting hot is
causing it and anyone near Batesville
do reasonable cheap transmission
work! Truck is a Chevy C1500 2006
model and I'm also interested in
buying used transmissions for that
model that run great with low miles!
My truck has bearly over 100k miles
on it. It was 2wd. It is a 2006 by the
way cause it will not let me pick
2006.
