Driving down the road and started getting alot of noise from what sounded like the front left hub
area, drive train locked up. Truck acts like it wants to back up in reverse and go forward in drive
but won't do either, won't even roll fwd or back in nutreal. It did for a short period but won't now,

Check the fluid level in the transfer case and both differentials front and rear.
Front and rear difs turn fine, transfer case seems to be locked up, can't find a place to check fluid level. Do I need to pull it to be able to do that?
There should be a pipe plug on it somewhere. It might have a recessed hex head or a recessed square headed plug. It would be the same as the fill plug. This plug may look similar to the drain plug at the bottom. I am guessing the transfer case is toast.
Take a look at the picture on this E-bay transfer case. You can see the plug about half way up on the first picture. The fill plug is towards the rear of the transfer case as mounted to the vehicle.....http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-00-01-02-Chevy- Silverado-Sierra-Avalanche-Tahoe-Yukon-Transfer-Case-NP8- Auto-/351604358444
More of a question...my mechanic put wrong fluid in my transfer case and it drives like breaks are stuck on or has a drag. If i flush it and fill with correct fluid might that fix the problem? And how to flush transfer case?
