New Engine won't crank I put a new engine in my 98 Silverado z71. The engine will not crank. The starter is good I checked it. I checked the relay their is power going in but won't go to starter I replaced relay as well and checked all fuses all good. I have power going every where except starter. Also it never did it before but now when I turn ignition my brake lights turn on. Everything was fine till the engine spun a bearing a month ago and I put the new engine in a week in a half ago. Much appreciated for any help. 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Ext. Cab 6.5-ft. Bed 4WD

I bypass the relay and it will crank 4 times and then the crank fuse blows

Check for power from ignition switch also check neutral safety switch and possible fusible link (click on image)

so the other day i moved my 1997 chevy k1500 in my driveway and put my plow on then let it run for a while. I came bacj to it about 30 mins later and it was dead. I tried to crank it but got nothing. after going over everything replacing coil icm ecm crank sensor cam sensor plugs wires complete distributer from cap to oil pump . I have spark but when it it reaches distributer i get no spark to wires. Any ideas? I have never seen this before, im at a loss, please help!! 7 Answers

I have a 1995 Silverado z71 5.7L. It will randomly lose all power both while in motion or stationary and sometimes will kick itself back on. Every once in a while when it does this it will not turn back on. No lights on the dash or anything. Almost like there is no battery in the truck. I have tested the battery and checked the terminals and everything appears to be okay but obviously there's something wrong. 3 Answers

chevy suburban 5.7liter 4x4 silverado 1991,question i have fuel pressure the jets work i have power to the coil but no spark to the wires.i also have power to the black box on pass. side top of engine i think controls when the spark happens i also replaced the module on backside of distributer, the distributer, the coil,the wires the plugs, bht havent done the cap and roter.is that the only thing that will stop the spark process?ive also checked the oil pressure and water temp sensors 3 Answers
