No rear brakes on my 98 chev 1/2 ton 4x4 Z71. Replaced shoes still no brakes. There is
no fluid from ABS module to rear brakes. Chevy dealer said I probably couldn't get a new
module. Is there a way to bypass?

No you cant by pass the ABS module, but if you check online, like ebay,or some of your local salvage yards, you can get a used one.
Oh, yes you can bypass it. You will have to make your own lines to make up the gap left by the module. Or you could get a module out of the salvage yard.
Yes you can by-pass the abs unit. Wilwood sells a really neat proportioning valve that totally eliminates the abs unit. You do have to re-plumb the under hood lines though.
older cars with abs issues can be expensive. used pumps are someone else;s crap. to remove it is simple. master cylinder primary feed ( closest to the booster.) install a tee from this line and feed front brakes. secondary feed from master will tee off and feed the rear. you now have standard power brakes which are much more responsive, NOW the abs light on older cars monitor other things such as.. a/c low line refrigerant pressure, o2 sensors, egr vac and so on....cost to do this about 30 bucks.works perfect on 93 lesabre
