I need to know where my Camshaft centering sensor is located on my pickup, and how to replace it, can you help? It turns but does not start.

I've tried New fuel filter and new plugs but it still is not starting so I'm thinking the source of the problem is the Camshaft Centering Sensor, but I don't know where to find it on my truck, or how to test whether or not it works or how to replace it. And information would be helpful.

It's also called a pickup coil. It's in the distributor

so the other day i moved my 1997 chevy k1500 in my driveway and put my plow on then let it run for a while. I came bacj to it about 30 mins later and it was dead. I tried to crank it but got nothing. after going over everything replacing coil icm ecm crank sensor cam sensor plugs wires complete distributer from cap to oil pump . I have spark but when it it reaches distributer i get no spark to wires. Any ideas? I have never seen this before, im at a loss, please help!! 7 Answers

okay so I just did my tune up. I drove the truck yesterday and it drove fine. everyone keeps telling me that the timings off. but I have everything in the right firing order and now its not starting its back firing and now I have smoke coming from under the hood. the spark im getting is an orange color. the truck is acting like it wants to start the motor turns but it wont completely start. please help! 4 Answers

just changed spark plugs, cap, rotors, and wires. the truck ran fine and started fine just yesterday. Chevy C1500, Motor350 5.7 V8.

My 99 k1500 suburban 5.7 liter 4x4 stays engaged n won't disengage the lights on the switch blink on of from 4h to 4l n then stays lit in 4h I have replaced the switch n the actuator in front and it still does the same thing before I replace the motor in the transmission is there anything else I can check or replace that is less expensive the used motor is 100 at junk yard my service 4x4 light was on n off now it stays on all the time any help will be well appreciated winter is here n I get stuck in my yard in 1" snow all the time thank you 1 Answer

I need help bad. My truck us a Chevy 1500 1995 and if I drive about 30 miles or so and hit a red light and go to hit the gas. I'll have the peddle to the floor and it will start off slow then out of no where kick in and speed up. And if I'm going down the high way and the cruise control is on and I'm going up a hill it will do that. Throttle slow then kick in and speed up. Also when I go to slow down pulling in some where the truck sounds like its about to shut off then comes back to normal. What wrong with it? 11 Answers

Ppl say it is my throttle body or my filter on my fuel pump or its I have no back pressure and my o2 senser is messed up since its straight pipe no cat converter. What is it.
