Truck Starting up

Asked by JFranks803 Nov 24, 2016 at 12:21 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab LB RWD

Question type: General

Me and my girl was about too go somewhere. Like my
truck sounds like it's starting up then just dies off. My
battery is fine and my  alternator is just fine. Doesn't
sound like the starter at all. I don't know if it's just cold
outside. But it's been doing just fine when it's really cold
outside. I put water in it too see if it was low on water but
it's not. Just needing some help cause I don't know a lot
about trucks.

Replace fuel filter if you haven't done it in a while. Check fuel pressure. If everything checks out good, you may have to replace the ignition control module
