K1500 tail/brake lights

Asked by Gregoire Sep 11, 2018 at 03:05 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Niether my tailights or brake lights work. The turn signals
work, but do not work when my lights ar switched to "on"
position. I have seen many similar posts, but none with
both tail and brake lights out. I have checked and swapped
fuses and relays, ran a new ground, and gotten new
connector plates, and bulbs. Any help would be much
appreciated.

Update.... I have the brake lights working now. But there is a white wire near the harness that goes live when the brake petal is engaged. Do I splice that wire to something, if so where?
