I am trying to figure out what is causing my 1997 Chevy Z71 Stepside 4x4 pickup to stop advancing while driving. It is fine for 5 or 6 blocks and then it is like the transmission is slipping. However if I stop and put the truck in park and turn it off and start it back up and put it in drive it will go again for another 5,6,7 blocks and then I have to put it back in park and turn it off and restart it again. I have already eliminated the catalytic converters and still same issue.
