Rev limiter on 96 silverado 1500 ext. Cab short bed

I have a 96 silverado 1500 with a vortec 350 that
will top out at 100mph and wont go over it just
sounds like its beggining to bog down and over
heats. How do i reprogram the computer for a
higher rev limiter or top speed or do i just need to
replace the ECU?

Buy a tuner that can remove the limiter. If the engine is over heating and bogging you won't go any faster as it has other problems.
