You would have to change the engine & computer system. Vortec intake will not bolt on a 1995 5.7. I know, I built a true roller Vortec motor for my 1995 Silverado.

Maybe I read the question wrong. To put a hole vortec engine in, either have to have the obd2 wiring harness and computer to run the motor, it takes 4 02 censors in the exhaust, and an EGR bung inlet in the exhaust. Or do what I did, I bought a new intake, (plus other things you wouldn't need) that is for the 1995 set-up but bolts to the vortec heads. then you can hook your motor up the way it was, and your computer (obd1 computer) will run it.
