Sounds like the timing chain jumped, remove dist cap, put a breaker bar on the balancer to crank bolt turn one direction until the rotor moves, next turn the opposite direction note how far you hadto turn before rotor moves 1/8 of a turn is acceptable next move the breaker bar back and forth rapidly and listen for the timing chain to click as the slack comes out. Hope this helps
Thank you. I will give that a try. Jumping of the timing was a thought, but ruled it out because of there being only 118,000 mi
