Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1993 Chevy k1500 truck 5.7 engine. New water pump, engine thermostat, and radiator flushed. I checked the top of the engine and it runs at 195 - 200 degrees. I also put on a new engine temperature sender unit which is two wire replacing a one wire unit. I suspect it may be that but I don't know what the ohms should be hot or cold.

the 2 wire units will do that, they will peg out a gauge at only 210 becasue of different ohm readings. You need to go back to a 1 wire.
