Can the RWAL system on a 92 K1500 be disabled without interfering with the regular braking system efficiency? If so, what would the process be?
Since the RWAL on a 92 K1500 only impacts the rear wheels, and since the wheel-speed is actually captured at the transfer case, can the entire RWAL be disabled by disconnecting the electronics portion of it? If so, will it adversely impact the entire system. And, if it can be disconnected, what would the process involve? It seems to me that if the signal is not sent to the control unit, nothing negative would occur other than the dash warning light turning on. I actually see no reason for the system's existence other than being a "gadget " that causes all kinds of hate and discontent for the owner / operator. Am I way off track?
