92 Silverado 5.7L won’t start

Asked by Andrew Apr 29, 2018 at 02:14 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Last week I replaced plugs and wires on my truck cause
of a burnt plug wire. This weekend I put on billet
specialties valve covers and wirelooms. My valve covers
were leaking like crazy. So I waited 24 hrs for the gasket
sealer to cure before starting it. I removed the alternator to
put the valve covers on and like a none head I didn’t
disconnect the battery and the charge back wire
accidentally grounded and shorted the chargeback wire at
the battery. And something on the fuse box on the fire wall
was smoking as well couldn’t find the source. Now the
truck won’t start. I have fuel and I have spark. I have no
clue what it could be

Upper left side of firewall you have some connections either the last one towards drivers side or befor3 last one has a small torpedo fuse attached to it. Change it and should relay spark again
