92 Chevy k1500 won’t start

Asked by Colton May 25, 2018 at 08:26 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I was driving down the road doing 90 when my
truck started to bogg out it kinda sounded like it
was backfiring, it then died and I pulled over to the
side of the road. It wouldn’t start so I thought
maybe the fuel filter is clogged so I swapped it out
and it was clogged. So I tried starting the truck
again and it still won’t turn on I mean it cranks but
won’t actually start

Check your fuel pump and also the electrical along your frame rail. Mine died in almost exacrly.the same fashion. I changed fuel pump as.it.was weak and then noticed insulation was worn on wires connecting to pump. Changed that and haven't had an issue since

Its most likely your electronic ignition fuse. Its happened to me a few times also...
