I have a 2000 GMC 4 wheel drive 2500 (Sierra Classic) with the 5.7 liter LT 9 motor. can a 2000 GMC 5 liter L 30 motor be installed as a replacement?

SURE BUT UNLESS THE LT9 IS TRASH..NOT TO OFTEN....FIX IT...DONT MAKE MORE HEADACKES THAN YOU NEED
