My oil light comes on only when braking and then goes away. Flashes and then I hit the gas and it goes away. Not due for an oil change yet.

If you haven't had the oil changed in accordance with the Toyota maintenance schedule or if you have used poor quality oil, you could have a sludge problem. Have someone wiggle the connector for the oil pressure sending unit and see if the light flashes

Then it may be the sludge problem....where do u get the oil changed....at quick stop or at dealer?

Go out to the car with a paper napkin....or cloth and check the oil now please. Wipe down and stick back in....then pull out and tell me where the oil reads.....are you low...medium or full? Thanks
