Probably bearing failure. The only choice is to install a new AC compressor.

that was a misprint, the belt did not break. from what i can surmise the air conditioner broke in two after a new alternater was installed. as if the alternater was not installed right and made the belt too tight and broke my air conditioner unit. it did it within the hour and my mechanic is avoiding me. i need to get it fixed and i don't want the same problem 1 Answer

I drive a Toyota camry xle 2007. Recently i hit a side of a side walk and d tire got damaged and rim bruised. i changed the tire and noticed the car was swerving to one side so i did the alignment but the car still gradually drifts to the right while in motion. i have tried the alignment at different places but its still d same and i have now be made to understand that the alignment is fine and somthing else must be wrong maybe from the sidewalk incident. please advice what else could make the car to drift/swerve when in motion. I went to the mechanic who changed the ERG valve in and reset the code. He said its a generic code and he couldn't do anything else. I went to the toyota dealer who said they would have to change the vavle again since that's the code!!! the smog shop couldn't help they don't give detailed info on 2000 and above vehicles. So I need to pass smog and no one can help. it could be anything with the PO 401 code. I need to find out what it is and fix it. it's a 2000 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder. 7 Answers
