2007 Camry by wont turn 360 degrees

Asked by GuruXRJYD Nov 24, 2018 at 07:42 AM about the 2007 Toyota Camry LE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

With plugs removed engine turns freely in
either direction then suddenly stops in
almost same location. Is this engine an
interference  fit? Could a rod bolt be hitting
the block? Engine ran fine when turned off.  
No noises. New starter, battery, alternator,  
key battery, starter relay. No sign of metal in
oil. Dealer maintained

If you are turning it by hand you may just be running up against the cams and the valve spring resistance. Rod bolts won't hit anything unless you threw a rod. Interference engines are called that because it is possible for the valves to hit the pistons if the cam timing is off.
