I have a 2007 toyota camry. I was driving down the road and when the ac was on, all the lights and speedometer, flashed on and off, it flashed the battery, the oil, seatbelts everything. I turned off the ac and it seemed to do better. I took it to Precision Tune, and they said it was the battery. I got back in my car and it would not start. they jumped me off. I drove to Advanced to get a battery.........140.00 3 year warranty and the car started up no problem. couple of days later, started doing everything again. I drove home for lunch and when going back to work, it would not start, the lights on the inside and dashboard were on and the only sound was a ticking sound. Now, when I open the door, no light at all, no start, no sound, and it will not even let me lock my door. Is this the battery? could it be bad? the connections look fine. what do you think?

Have the battery checked again, then have the alternator checked.

It may be a faulty fuse block. You may have to bring it to the dealer. In other vehicles it's called the Body Control Module. Typically when everything goes haywire, it's a bad signal between the BCM and the ECM. If you know your way around a car, you may want to first check the grounds to your fuse block and ECM.

IMO....the way to start this diagnosis is to place a volt meter across the battery with all lights and doors off and the key out of the ignition. You should see 12.6 volts DC. Anything less than 12.00 volts indicates the battery is not charged. Next step is to start the vehicle and check CHARGING voltage. With the engine running at high idle....you should see at least 13.5-14.25 volts DC. This tests the alternators ability to charge the battery. A complete test of the charging system requires special equipment. IF the vehicle will not CRANK OVER....jump start the car then perform the above tests. Lacking a volt meter???......take this vehicle to a reliable repair shop for the above tests.
