battery light came on.

I started my van this evening. the dash lights were dim also head liites. the battery light came on. AI slowed down to turn around and come home. At that point the dash lites lite up,and everything seems back to normal. i stopped the car. turned it off. restarted and the battery light was not there anymore. Is it my alt? Just had a rebuilt put in several months ago.

Could be the alternator. Could be the battery. Could be a loose connection or ground. Could be shorted wires causing high electricity drain under certain conditions. These chain auto parts places will usually check your alternator and battery for free.... start with that.
