Asked by chloeNikky Nov 22, 2013 at 12:59 AM about the 2001 Chrysler Town & Country Limited LWB FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had engine light on it was the oxygen sensor code, mechanic said its really nothing to
worry about while I had oil change. Been driving for two weeks has been running fine until
the other day drove half a mile then engine light starts flashing was running really rough
and lose of power. Didn't want to break down on me so turned around right away and
headed home.

with any luck the catalytic converter is still switchin' poisonous CO gas into CO2 and water vapor~ once you get the O2 sensor in....take it for a long drive~...this may clear the catalyst~

Sounds to me like your cat is getting glogged. How many miles on the van?

Why did you not replace the sensor than all you are doing is more damage unless the car has that any miles on! after that who cares?
